Thomsons of Durham Bus Tour
Thursday, September 29, 2005 starting at 9 a.m.
The Pickering Township Historical Society and the Durham West Arts Centre partner to take you to places important to the Thomson family in Durham Region. As well as the two Thomson stone homes, where Tom and five of his siblings were born, you will visit gravesites, favourite fishing places and historic Claremont where the Thomson family shopped, worshipped and visited friends and family. You will go to a few additional places of note to round out the historic highlights of this area of Durham Region.
Experience the verdant rolling hills, stone houses and stories of pioneer days in Pickering Township followed by tea and treats on the DWAC terrace.
